    Interested in the Texas Heat Wave (Austin=7/18-20/08)

    This came up last night at dinner.

    Who is intersested in attending/participating in this? http://www.heatwaveinc.com/


    What if we were able to accumulate a large group of LX's/Mopars and stage them together in the show? Maybe even post our club logos and what not. We can get discounts if we have more than 10 entries entered.

    I don't see any rules against having our own grill and cooking for ourselves so we might consider creating an "Mopar Lounge" and making our own event within an event.

    C2M2 has made aquaintenances w/ the area mgr of Custom Sounds who drives a Magnum stereo show car. We might can leverage that connection.

    If pricing is the same as others, it will be $40 for one car entry into the show and 2 wrist bands that are good for the entire weekend.

    What are your thoughts?

    Count me in! I entered last year & it was great! LOTS of amazing cars & trucks there. It will be even better with a larger LX contingent. Great idea!

    I might be going to this with my car club. We have been tossing it around. Actually, I beleive we are going to caravan from California with a few other clubs, so we might be strollin in about 60 strong. Hopefully anyway.

    Hey, this could grow into something really cool. List your name and if it is a "maybe" put that behind your name. I'll try to work with Spanky to see if we can get an area reserved just for us Modern Mopars (from all areas, not just the Capital City crowd!)

    Just to make the most of the available disounts, we can register for the as Capital City, but post your own club colors once in the show
    I have an email in to the organizers asking for a spot on the grounds to be locked down. I'll update later.

    I haven't had a response from the show organizers but that is probably just as well.

    8 Cars is hardly going to recieve preferential treatment.

    Come on folks, sign this list and I'll ask for some special treatment.....like a reserved spot for us.
