How much would you pay to autocross on a track?

Just in case you missed it...

    http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=59424&goto=newpost

    The short version is:
    • Pay to have the 3/4 mile track (35 feet wide) dedicated for LX drivers use for one day in Austin, Tx.
    • Fees charged would cover track rental, manditory event insurance, EMS, timing & tech inspection staff.
    • Make as many runs as time allows. For comparison, we just ran an event that ran 130 cars, 6 times each. With fewer cars, the more runs, the higher the individual $. It was only a $40 entry fee on Sunday.
    • You would volunteer to corner marshall for 2 hours over the course of the day.
    • Cost would vary according to number of entries.
    • This event is NOT for profit, though maybe if there are left-overs we can contribute to the CobbleStone project or other LXForums supported charity. LXForums Cobblestone Campaign

I would be somewhat interested....I would have to see when the times of availability are. I would think 40-50 is fair.

Here are the detailed instructions for autocrossing.

    Go fast when you can.

Go slow only when you have to.

Always stay on the course and never hit a cone.

Now, go forth my son and spread these words to all LXer forums!

Some of you guys have no idea how much fun this is. Just ask any of the 40+ rides that drove this past weekends event at the Califonia Speedway. It's easy on the car and will teach so much about how these things react to different situations on the road. IMO, a full day event is worth a hundy.
