I knew mine would go, just hoped none of my kids were under it when it went. It would kill you.

If you don't have a safety cable going through the springs on your garage doors, it's something that needs to be done NEXT! Never mind any LX upgrades or food on the table, this is a mod that NEEDS doing!

I've had a half dozen of them bust over the years and the damage I've had to repair from these is simply amazing. On one event my eX had just parked her car and pushed the button on the way out of the garage and it blew, flying debris blew out a window and imbedded itself into the cement block back wall. Had she been standing next to the car, she probably wouldn't have had a head on her shoulders.

Replacing the broken spring isn't a big deal, once you get the door open again...

    Scary stuff..

So what you are saying is, a M&G at Stroguy's house to help with a garage door?

Mine snapped just days before the movers were coming to pack me out of my house in California in Dec. I had just pulled the Charger out when it let go! SAAAAFE..... cost about $200, the guy came out late on a rainy Friday night too!

    Good luck!

Too easy, although Spring is about a 2hr drive. Bring your goodies to the All TX meet and I will be more than happy to help you out if you feel like waiting. As for the garage door spring, you are gonna need to get some local muscle to hold the door up or prop it while you change out the spring. Good luck.
