For an oil change. They must of performed some other non warranty item. Even with synthetic oil costs, my changes are 50.00 bucks and they rotate the tires every oil change.

I just got a $60 oil change on my R/T. To be fair, that included a $15 tire rotation.

One thing I did notice was they included a $16 oil additive that I did not request. If I go to that dealer again for oil changes I'll request they leave it out. If I wanted to spend double on oil, I'd have them use synthetic.

The main reason I even took it to the dealer in the first place vs. doing it myself is to get the dealer 'stamp' in the logbook. Call me crazy but I think it makes a difference if you have those if you ever sell or trade-in.

But the damn dealer didnt even stamp the book! One of the service managers initialed it! Initialed! Umm...hello, I could initial the book! Don't they realize people go to the dealer for that official-looking seal? Hell, I could even have my own seal made if thats the way its gonna be!

    Sheesh!

YEP! That's how it's gonna be... I told them to go play tonsil hockey with each others's's's and never looked back!
Took it to a local Mobil1 and they put the synthetic in for $60, ANd re-filled my fluids. Windshield fluid is a MUST! Tropical-sized bugs down here in Florida!

I usually take 8 quarts & a filter with me, and the dealer charges me less than $15.00 to do the oil change. He tole me they get 12.99 per quart for 0-50 syn.

The first oil change on my Daytona was $36.00 at my local Chrysler dealer. The next one will be more, since I will switch to sythetic.

Ask your dealer if you can bring your own oil, probably save you about 70.00

You don't have an SRT, we have to use Mobil1 or some other type of Syn oil..

The mechanic my dad used to go to had a sign that said

"you dont go to a diner with your own eggs, please don't come here with your own parts"

I'd like to be able to do that, but I bet I already know the answer.

My car was washed and vacuumed. Tax ($6+) and disposal fees ($2+) added to the total cost as well. They had down on the work order "tire rotation" but I have the F-1's with 255 rear and 245 fronts. I ran out to the car to see if they might have made a boo boo and was surprise to find the right wheels where they should be.

Texas,....Florida... either one is H-O-T!! Besides, it's good(?) to know, that we're not the only one's getting hosed on these oil changes!

How about the gas prices in Texas? Here in Fort Lauderdale (where they are bringing the oil into our port) the gas is the most expensive! Heck I can drive up to my folks place (200 miles north) and the gas is cheaper there! Same deal in Texas port cities??

    Why??

But aren't the F-1's a DIRECTIONAL tire? i.e. cant rotate them?
