GIFO4 M&G - Side Actvity – Sat May 13 Sacramento CA

Attn: all GIFO4 and LX'ers that will be in the Nor Cal area May 12th & 13th.

A last minute side bar event for Saturday has come up, after the Meet & Greet lunch at Higgens golf course. As I understand it, most people will be going back to the Sacramento Race Way for a second day to run their LX's, test & tune.

If folks don't want to go to the track, a friend of mine Patrick, is co-owner of Spectator Racing at the Roseville fair grounds. I told him about the GIFO and he offer us a group discount for A Race Night Package, that would start at 2:30 PM and last around 4 hours. A Race Night Package consists of:

Instruction,

10 practice laps, all of us together,

More Instruction, what was observed to help us become better,

3 laps of qualifying, by yourself for pole positioning,

15 lap main even race, all of us together.

We need at least 5 people, but were limited to no more than 10. They will reduce the price for us by a third, and we were asked not to mention our pricing at the event, because it will sell out and everyone else there will have paid full retail! Retail price for this is $300. Our discounted price of $200 is still a pretty penny but it’s a better price than we would ever see on our own.
I have 2 spots spoken for, so we only need 3 more for the discount – or up to a total of 8 slots left. We will need to pay in advance within the next two weeks to secure our spots.

I can’t imagine a better group of LX gear heads (er a, people) to do this with, as we get to get out there and race together!!

Their main goal is to ensure fun and safety, and get the heart pumping!

We are limited in time to commit, as the rain has caused several delays and re-bookings, plus they are filling up fast. We have until the Sunday Noon for me to get back to him with a yeah, or neigh. Please post a reply here if you want to be in on this event, or have a question on it.

Well, it's not in the cards for this trip anyways. Sorry, but it sure sounds like fun. Drag strip sounds like fun also, we'll just have to have fun!

Sorry, I only had a little bit of time yesturday to check in and just as I was trying to find this thread the site went down. If the decision needed to be made by today I'll have to pass. I haven't had a chance to see what everyones plans where. Sounded like a lot of fun though, great idea. Another time.

Sorry, bro. If I can't drive one of the modifieds than it's no go.
I don't think the spectator series has added anything to the track. We all usually go for a beer when they're racing. I miss the ancients sprint cars that they used to run out there. Open air open wheels, now that's racing.
