Please comment, question and discuss. Now is the time. I want to have this nailed down and locked in no later than 11/30, so we can start planning the organized chaos thats inherent to intake swaps at this pace.
Also I need to get absolute confirmation on who's cars are available when. Obviously mine is available for the Thursday morning portion of the tests. As of right now, I have no other confirmations.
I'm looking for a near bone stock/lightly modded 5.7 and a near bone stock/lightly modded 6.1. The third car is up to popular vote and/or who's available.
I need to make something really clear. This is something that has been raised as a concern to me privately, and I think its a valid one worth stressing here: Dyno testing as proposed in these tests is not easy on a car. Lots of full speed runs, lots of heat cycles... it can take its toll. Something you automatically agree to when volunteering your rig is that no one, not me not Matt not Bob not ANYONE associated with the MFO or SVS or LXForums in any way, can and/or will be held responsible if your car breaks. You're volunteering for these tests with zero zip and zilch explicit or implied guarantee from any of us. You speak up fully understanding you do so at your sole risk and your speaking up is your agreement you will not try to hold any of us responsible for anything that may happen while involved with these tests.
Stuff happens guys. And although we've never had one single problem across maybe 500 pulls associated with the MFO, thats no guarantee it wont happen. Bob and his team are ridiculously cautious and careful with our machines. They have an incredible respect for us and these cars, and they handle them as if they were their own daily drivers. But when those rollers get moving... well you get the point.
With all that said and out of the way, lets do this! We've got less than two weeks to lock in this procedure, organize all the labor its gona take, and secure three different LXs for the testing.
