    Fat maggie

    I am in need of help with figuring out why my AWD 05 canadian built none tow package R/T weighs 5500 lbs. I have a number 8 in the 7th space of my vin and the dealer doesn't know what it means or why my car says it is so heavy. How do I lose weight when they don't even know why I have it! Please help my maggie go on a diet besides me not getting in it!

    It does NOT weigh 5500 pounds. You are looking at the weight rating on the sticker. The offical weight for your car is about 186 pounds more than the RWD version. The ride height is 1 inch higher.

    5500lb is the GVWR(Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) meaning how much the total loaded weight the car is rated to.The actual weight is somewhere around 4200 lbs.
