It helps greatly reduce the amount of oil that is put through the intake from the PCV system. Without it, the back of your throttle body and the inside of your intake manifold will get caked with oil and crap. You will not gain any HP from it but it will help keep things clean and allow air to flow like it should.

    The catch can?

It's an aftermarket part, so if you havn't bought it, then you don't need to worry about removing it.

If you are talking about the PCV, then you can't just remove it, or you will have oil squirting out all over your engine bay (I assume).

Because it keeps your throttle body clean, it extends the life of your engine. I highly recommend having one on the Hemi. My throttle body is cleaner now than it was when I put my catch can on. BT did a great job on that.

well that all depends on the dealership, the fact that your attempting to prevent oil sludge risk factors in times to come and providing longevity to the engine and performance should be impressing the dealerships IMO

i have one and happy i did the switch too

Com'n guys, engine longevity is not increased with a "clean" throttle body, nor by removing oil vapor, and there is no performance increase...

Diablo will disagree with you on performance. Do a search.
