    Xzilon For the Paint, etc.

I don't sell the stuff but my neighbor does and he hooked me up with a bottle of Xzilon a few cars ago. I've used it on every car since and it's absolutely amazing. To have a dealer do it will cost you anywhere from $400-$750. Or, you can buy a bottle and do it yourself. Key is that you apply it correctly.

But, if you do, there is nothing that can get to your paint, glass or chrome. Everything wipes off immediately and you never need to wax! Sounds too good to be true but I swear it works.

    Look it up at xzilon.com

Having the dealer apply the paint sealant for you is plain nutz. They charge you $700-$900 and the product costs arourd $12 a bottle and will do 4-5 cars. I know this because I work with a few dealers and I charge them $150 to apply (all labor) and they turn around and charge $1100. People pay it because they are not educated. In my business, I dedicate myself to educating consumers on car care. Gary

I never said to have the dealer do it...and a bottle of Xzilon is not $12. If you're paying that for Xzilon, please hook me up with your dealer. Also, one bottle of Xzilon, applied correctly, will only cover at most two cars. Not sure we're talking about the same product.

I agree....I used to do the same thing but when introduced to this stuff haven't seen the need to do so...that's why I brought it up here. if you haven't, take a few minutes to read through their website and see how/why it was developed. It's pretty cool stuff.

There are kits on Ebay for $40 and under. So, does it look as good as the high end waxes and protectants?

Here's what I do with all my cars when I get them home....

Wash with Megs, clay bar, wash again and then Xzilon very carefully. If you apply this stuff correctly, you won't need to wax again for a long long time.

What I love is that 6 months after you apply it, the water beads up on the paint like you've Rain Xed the entire thing. In fact, you can use it on all materials on the car...I have it on my chrome wheels and on all the glass. Remember, I don't work for the company and can't say exactly what you should and should not do, but the guy who I worked with said to put it on everything and I do. Only thing you need to do is dust it off on occasion.

So, what I'm saying is, yes...if you start with an extremely clean car, this will protect it and it will look new all the time. I've never waxed after application. But, that's my opinion.
