    Ultimate Wash. 5000 quid

Sorry if it doesn't go here. Go ahead and move it if need be. I thought there were some interesting points to this from a technique point of view.

So I guess being obsessive/compulsive can make you rich?

5000 Quid, or Pounds, is equal to $9296.98 American.

The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

I was surprised to see he doesn't use a second bucket with clean water to rinse before hitting the soap again.

lol.... I was even more surprised to see him doing the wheels last when they should be done first including wheel wells and undercarriage, but what really shocked me was washing the car in direct sun.... a really big NO-NO!

I always do the wheels, wells last and lower part of the car right before....there are a lot more particles you can pick up there. And if you do happen to pick something up, better to keep any damage to lower part of the car.

    lol... okay then!
Well in all the years I have been detailing cars, we have always done the dirtiest areas first like this:
spray off car with pressure washer starting with the wheel wells, tires & rims...
then the top of the car all the way down...
    while car is wet....
we wash wheel wells and tires, rims, & undercarriage and then rinse them off... then we go back to the car and wash it using the mitt to wash and pressure hose off and chamois dry including the door jambs. once all this is complete, we then inspect the paint and continue on with prepping for the polish or swirl remover compound, etc.
Hell, I even do my car this way and always have....I just dont know who in their right mind would wash a car out in the direct sun.... not me!
Now, was I taught the wrong way? Help.

I've always started at the top and worked down, unless the wheels were especially dirty, and I didn't want to get mud over where I'd just cleaned.

As far as washing in the sun, I don't see any other option most of the time. Now WAX I apply in the shade.

If I were to give him that much money for a freakin car wash I'd have him take the whole car apart and clean each piece individually!...After he may put the car back together.

You can wash your car in direct sun. Just make sure to get all soap and water off the car before it dries!! You should NEVER apply polishes and waxes in direct sun.

Xkwizit--- is right you guys you should do your wheels and wheel wells first. Then wash your car top to bottom. Then clay it, then wash it again, then take the buffer out and apply paint cleaner, then polish, then sealer, then wax. 5 hrs later you car looks better than it did brand new!
