So I got my Porter Cable now What?

So I made a trade with a forums member to get me a porter cable and extension cord for some old parts I had lying around and my goodies showed up. So being new to the Porter Cable toy, I read the instructions. I notice it came with a white buffing pad and a flat pad. I guess the next step is figuring out where to get some Velcro to attach the buffing pads.
I guess I need to get one of these? Or do I just get Velcro. I brought this to the forum so all interested could learn together.

Depending on teh pads you want to get you need the correct backing plate.

    The Meguiars plate is W64-DA

There are a few foam pads that will work with that plate as well as the Meguiars stuff.

CHeck out my Detail Supplies List for a full list of what your looking for.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

I use the edge 2000 pads. No back plate needed, but it does require an adaptor.

I use the Wolfgang EuroTech Smart Foam Pads

easy to use, clean, and priced right. Depnding on your car car needs I would suggest getting:
1 - orange (only if you have a major swirl problem)
2 - white (I use one for light swirl removal)
2 - gray (Applying sealants, waxes)
2 - blue (Suggested but not required)

I use a lambswool leveling pad covered with a MF bonnet to buff the sealant and wax.

If you plan to use a sealant...make sure you allow it time to set. can be 12-24hours depending on product. Also make sure htat you use the sealant before waxing, as some sealants do not apply over waxes.

The time you take preparing and researching the work you want to do will pay off!

Thanks again folks for the tips. I am going to see if Maguires has any classes in Korea. They do sell products here though. How do detail shops use a sealant if it takes 12 hours to work? It seems a customer would not want to have his car overnight.

A couple of W-9006 for putting on NXT or #21

I would say also get the W-8006 pad to put the Gold Class Microfiber DA Polisher Bonnet over to remove the wax
