    Angry Rear Bumper Scar

Last night I parked downtown. first mistake. Upon my return I found my 300 has a major bumper rash from the a$$hole that parked behind me. The scratch goes beyond the paint and actually has roughed up the fiberglass underneath. About 3 inches long and 1/8" deep.

What is the best repair for this? Can I just sand it down with wet paper and go till it's smooth then cover in new paint? or??!!

What would be a good step by step for this type of repair?

    Thanks!

I have a silver car, does anyone know the paint code or type to look for? Thanks again!

    Sorry to hear that.

That's why I try to stay away from all other cars when I park it.
    Doesn't always work though.

I'm sure someone will chime in with the info you need.

So where are you between MTL and Ottawa?

I'm on both sides. I "live" in Ottawa and call it home but I work downtown in Montreal. So I spend M-F in the M dot and Sat/Sun in Ottawa. It used to be killer but after 5 years I'm getting used to it! Having a real highway car has made it so much sweeter, if only I could iron out the wrinkles. The whole reason I got rid of my Jeep was all of the the "wrinkles" and now. well I don't want to get started!!

The rear bumper repair and repaint would run about $450-$500US. Replacing the bumper (with new DCX part) and painting it about $600US.

    Those are approximate.
