    Preventing Interior Wear

Hey guys, I daily drive my SRT8 and unfortunately there are a few carless soldiers I have to take care of. 2 of them are *ahem* larger and as you guys know this kind of messes up the bolsters on the front seat.

What are ways you guys keep your leather from getting wrinkles or worn? I detail the interior every other week with Meguiars Leather Conditioner.

I think you're already using the right stuff. If mine gets dirty, I use saddle soap to clean it. The other thing that I've used to protect my leather is Bag Balm. Ok, when you get up off the floor from laughing Bag Balm has lanolin which is very good for leather, great on boots among other things .

Have you ever had a large person in your front seat? It causes the leather to wrinkle. I'm trying to prevent that : /

Stop using that ASAP. I used Zymol every 1,000mi religiously until it was not available any more. Then I went to that stuff and it WRECKED my seats in no time. It made them off color, dull and slimey. I now use Griots Leather care on all my cars. Wrinkles are going to happen, it is just a part of leather. You need to protect from scuffs and what not. Check back pockets too.

Do you guys use these products on the center (suede section) too?

If not what do you use to clean/condition the center section?

I just vacuum. I don't use anything. I've never had a stain or anything like that.

Preventing interior wear is as easy as maintaining your interior whenever you can. First try giving your whole interior a deep clean with a diluted APC (I use chemical guys nonsense diluted at 20:1). Then apply dressing to your dash and panels with a dedicated product that will provide a low gloss shine and UV protection (I use Optimum Opti Clean diluted at 3:1). Those are two products I use on every customers car I detail and it always leaves it looking clean and factory new.
