    Pidgeon Poop Paint Problem!

    Came out of the pub last night to see that a flock of birds (pidgeons?) had done a bombing run across my grill, hood, windshield, fender and roof. Got out the cleaner and towel right away and tried to clean it up. Could not get it completely off. Tried again this morning in the light to no avail. It has left a bunch of white circles on the paint. Car has a few coats of Meguirs Gold clear coat wax. Without making it any worse, what's the best wat to get it back to "Perfection" Please don't say a new paint job!!!

    You can try some ScratchX in the affected areas, you will have to work it in with some elbow greese and maybe have to do it several times.

    Sorry to hear but Pigeon poo could actually eat through your clearcoat depending on how long it has been baking in the sun. You may want to take it to a detail shop and see what they can do for ya. I know I had to get mine wet sanded and buffed several times to have the area look to its original finish.

    Thanks RobAGD......went out and bought a $14.99 tube of ScratchX at Canadian Tire and it did make an improvement on the few spots I tried it on. Not completely gone yet, I will try to redo the area again later. It does appear that the poop "ate" right thru the wax coating and turned the area into a whitish "blob" Think them damn birds must have been to Taco Bell while I was at Boston Pizza!!!! The mess looked like "A Mexican Beauty"

    Well dont forget that Bird "poo" is also urine as well as Poo so there why its so acidic.

    If you really want to riun someones finish, take a leak on it, almost as good as paint stripper.
