Folks,
I spent the day today detailing my GMG Daytona for the first time.5 1/2 hours later, I had finished the outside; I'll have to do the inside tomorrow. It looks fantastic--I'll post a couple of pictures here to avoid getting roasted
, but the sun/shade conditions just don't do it justice.
I started off with a good washing with Dawn, to get off the wax the no-touch place uses. I then clay-barred her, but it was obvious that the previous owner did a great job while he owned the car--the clay was almost clean when I finished!
Next, the Zaino Attack! First came the AIO--the weather was sunny but cool, so waiting for each application to dry made this step the longest. Fantastic results, and truth be told, the car would have looked great if I had stopped there. But wait, there's more...
I then applied the Z-CS Clear Seal. This step was a breeze, and brought out even more shine. I was happier than ever. But...
Finally, the Z-8 Grand Finale spray. Words can't express how the paint looks now. It's almost liquid-looking, as if you would create ripples if you touched the paint-pond!
Running out of time ( starting to lose the sun, plus I've got a hot date with Mrs. HemiDreamin'), I quickly applied the Leather in a Bottle to the seats and dash.
What a day. I haven't enjoyed working so hard in a very long time. I'm going to be sore tomorrow for sure, but, man, was it worth it! But I sure as heck better get in shape. Next time, I'd better remember to stretch before I polish!
Below are the rather disappointing pictures:

, guess I'm going to have to plop down in front of the big screen with a few of these
and watch Flags of Our Fathers
. Hope there's a lot of explosions and such to keep me from dozing off.
