Murphys' Oil Soap..

I like to use Murphys' on the leather seats and all the interior parts, it's not slimey and it seems to nourish the leather. It is excellent in removing dirt so i'm cleaning and conditioning at the same time.
I add some to a bucket of warm water and use a soft towel to wipe areas clean. I also soak the removable parts (cup holders, ect...) in the bucket and they come out great!

You should use proper automotive cleaners instead of something that is used for wood floors.

On the back of the bottle it lists several other surfaces it can be used on, cars being one of them.

What exact surfaces on the car does it say it is safe for?

Does it list them? If not, I would chance a hefty pricetag to replace a cracked dash.

ohhhhhhhhhhhh boy, this is a tough call, however I would not use it!
It states that for general cleaning can be used on leather, vinyl and car interiors.....if finish appears to be worn or weak, test area first with water. Consult expert if finish changes!
I only use proper leather cleaner and conditioners on my cars leather interior... afterall, would you use a car products on your household floor? NOT!

.... but, to each their own.

Meguiar's makes a nice spray bottle of leather "cleaner" not "conditioner" that is fast and easy to use....takes sweat stains, dog drool and other incidental WTF-is-this sticky-stuff off quickly and easily. Spray on, work into all the nooks and crannies with a clean towel and dry with another "cleaner" towel. Looks great, has never caused any issues on my seats like drying/cracking or softening which allows the leather to stretch nor any discoloration.

I have used Murphy's oil soap on my interior several times. Because I have an RT with Perf.Group the only leather in the car is on the steering wheel and shifter knob. I have no problem using Murphy's on the leather as a cleaner but it is not a conditioner. I use it on the leather just because I already have the wet rag in my hand. I always come back to the leather with the mothers leather cleaner&conditioner.
It is not a detergent but a mild soap so it should not damage any surface and it leaves no residue (according to Murphy's). It is water based/soluble so if there is any residue it just wipes away with a damp cloth.
It's good for cleaning dirt but oils, grease and "WTF-is-this sticky-stuff" may need something stronger.
