    How much product?

I'm new to the random orbital buffer world. How do you know how much product to use and how do you know when to add more? You are supposed to add it to pad only, right?

    I use about a quartersize drop in for a 2' X 2' area.

It does depend some on what product you are using but Paradog is right, as a rule for thumb a quarter size drop for about 2' X 2' is usually about right.
