    Front End Protection

Hello everyone, I am new here. My wife just picked up a 2005 Inferno Red Magnum RT. I was wondering what we could purchase to save the front end from stone chips? We plan to take the vehicle on trips. I would prefer not to purchase a bra since they are know to scratch the paint. Any suggestions?

The clear bra is probably the only thing that will really protect your front end. However, it's not a perfect solution either. I've got chips in areas the clear bra wouldn't cover. I've just resigned myself to the fact that somewhere down the road, when the chips get too bad, I will have to repaint. Until then, I try to keep a good distance from other vehicles (especially the trucks and such that don't have mud flaps) and use touch up paint to make them less noticable. It's pretty much impossible to keep a daily driver in perfect condition.

They have to be installed by a dealer of the brand you get such as Ultrashield.

I am located in Garden City, KS. There isn't much around here. I go to KC a lot. I may have to do some searching for dealers there. Over $500? Wow, that is a lot!

I've got 38K miles on my Mopar bra. No paint damage from the bra!!! Only chips have been outside of the bra coverage!

I have the Mopar bra and no damage to the paint. The bra looks good on the Magnum.

For temporary stuff you could try duplicolors spray-on bra:

I have never used the duplicolor but it looks interesting.

WTF!!!! $575 for clear plastic stuck on my paint.

Geeze it better come with a great looking blond with silcone mods for that price!
Hell, I'll repaint the front for that.

I have the Mopar Bra, no paint damage, just remember to remove it if it gets wet.
I blow mine out with an air hose every few weeks to get rid of any dirt or sand that could scratch the paint.
