If a product isn't readily available for shipment then don't charge for or sell it until it is. I currently have a big deposit on some serious performance mods for over a month now and not even a hint of the product being shipped. I no we all need to practice patience and all but when does enough become enough.
The problem with that is with the credit card processing system we use and most other compaines use once you take the info the computer automatically processes it. The alternative is to write down the info on paper and process it later once it ships. I know I would rather may card info not be recorded on paper where it could be thrown out and possible found by someone with bad intentions.

AAC: This is from Visa's "Card Acceptance and Chargeback Guidelines" page 11, and mirror's Master Card's policy operations, and perhaps you should pass it along to your staff and payment processing center since you're scapegoating on their procedure:

Deliver the merchandise or services to the cardholder at the time of thetransaction. Cardholders expect immediate delivery of good and services unless other delivery arrangements have been made. For card-not-present transactions, cardholders should be informed of delivery method and tentativedelivery date. Transactions cannot be deposited until goods or services have been delivered.

I guess the alternative would have been not processing any new orders beginning a week before the move and effective until every box is unpacked. I'm sure they can afford a month of downtime.

Thanks Fred, that says it all. Now if businesses start following the set criteria most everyone will be happy. The thing is, I believe these companies are using our money to help sustain expenses and cash flow.
The term for this is referred to as kiting and is actually illegal.

    Justin,

All I want is what I was promised.
I understand what your saying, but it's like no one cares,
about what I am saying, and no one has called me either.
It's 2:10pm PST and Richard still has not called me?
If you told him to call me, why hasn't he?
If it's shipped, get me a tracking number and I will be happy.
I am tired of waiting, this move is not my fault and not my
fault Richard didn't know about move or what?
AGAIN Richard said in stock and will ship tomorrow.
That was almost two weeks ago now.
If course I want the Demon lights that's why I ordered them.
I just think billing my credit card the day I called the order in
and not sending me anything, that's not cool.

On the other hand, when I make a purchase of a mod for the Mag, I want my card to be charged immediately, since most of the time it is my Debit card connected to my checking account...That way I will not spend the money on something else that might come up, if I am already committed to what I bought. Works out best for me, but patience is not one of my top qualities. Actually there are some vendors who will not do this, due to their own internal policy, which is cool too.
