This is a FREE mod that takes less than 5 min to complete.
You can finally keep the ugly egg yolk from distracting from the pretty Halos.
Here is an inexpensive way to modify the stock 3157 bulb so just the signal filament of the bulb works. Just snip one of the exposed wires on the bulb socket:
There are 4 wires, 2 at each end.
The two outside wires are the High intensity filament, the two inside wires are the low intensity filament. Just pry up one of the inside wires (does not matter which end) and snip it off:

Got it, no more eggs in my headlamp
I would like to not use that bulb at all and instead use the 16" LED strip I got coming with the group buy. Is there an easy way to do that?

"They Were Just Jealous That My Charger Pulled More Kitties Than A Bowl Of Milk"
Ok, so I went to do this and my 3157A bulb and socket look totally different. There's not any filament wires and just 3 normal size wires leading to the connector harnesses before the bulb socket and bulb? Can it still be done?
I need to do this.....but its pouring out

If you pull your bulb out, you should have exactly what is shown, unless of course someone cut it off and replaced it with a normal bulb.
Just had this done the other day by JOE, didn't even know it was possible. Gives a whole new look to the 300C front end when the turning signals are off.
PS- also did another "mod" with help from Joe as well, and disconnected my high beams altogether... no more DRL's woot.

LoL Joe! I finally figured it out after pulling the bulb, mine just doesn't have wires like the picture it has metal filaments unwrapped. Clip, clip...piece of cake... thanks!![]()
I hate these mods, especially when a conservative person like me buys a damn used moded car.
Must be me, but I like the yellow light on with halo's.

Have owned my share of 12 & 13 second cars, am happy now with my stock RT.
^^I would say you would be in the less than 1% crowd..It just takes to much away from the Halo's IMO.
