Is there really a 2011 LX?

2010 models are just about here. There are enough cameras with our phones and pro spy photographers out there. How could a 2011 LX not being capture somewhere by someone?

If one kept up with other spy photos, we see Toyota is testing the new 2011 minivan, for example. I'm sure you seen other examples too in print and on-line. Even if it's a 2112 model, there should be testing mules spotted somewhere. We also seen spy photos from Korea (Hyundai) and China (Buick), several thousand miles away. But no LX?

I can't imagine the 2011 LX can escape all spy photographers so far.

If it is for model year 2011, this thing should be testing all over downtown Detroit now during rush hour. Recall the Mustang, again, as example.

***** Update on Page 6 ****** Caught on Camera FINALLY!!!!!!!

If the company is still around, they have plans, don't worry.

Because we have not started to build the dies for the body panels, but I have seen the designs and simulations for the bodyside

LX program is currently suspended as they only got half of the funding needed, however they will still make the 2011 target.

It is said that the renderings you find when you google 2010 charger are extremely accurate

Agree with the bailout-merge budget situation.

But How could they make the 2011 date?

Again, I don't want to make this a Toyota/Honda thread, but the Japanese brands can get their products to market much quicker than the "American" brands. And their 2011 already been spotted testing. Nothing for the LX (or LC or whatever we want to call it).

If the product is not being tested now, how can it be ready by 2011? Do Chrysler (Fiat) just plan to go with no real world test? Or is it really just a re-skin of the same car? Even if that is the case, test would still need to take place to make sure panels and parts don't fall off.

IMO, even the best of the best can not rush out a car that fast.

We where talking about this last night! What is scarry is the LX platfourm as we know it is really an rehash of the older MB E class. But Dimiler is no longer with Chysler, so they have no one to take technology from to build a new platfourm. How long can they truly keep the LX and LY platfourm going before the relize they will need something new, but all they have is Fait to pull from the parts bins?

    No.

    LX platform - Charger / 300 / (Magnum)

LC platform (SHORTENED LX) - Currently challenger only
(perhaps the 2 dr Charger will get put on the LC platform)

BTW, LY platform (LENGTHENED LX) - not in production - concepts only at this point (i.e. Imperial).

    imperial???
wow, they bringing that old tank back?!
i wonder what the new design will look like?
someone posted a concept charger here a month or so ago that looked mighty like it could be a new design. good looking car in my books. hope they don't screw with things too much.
as a canadian i like your mr obama and think he is going to do great things for you but i wish he would stop screwing with our cars.
    lol
just kidding i know where he is going with his thinking.
so we're looking at an lc car next eh?!
something just doesn't sound right there somehow as compared to lx.
hope they manage to get a good product out there to compete with the new mustang.
i've seen a new 2011 and it is a sharp looking car. no offence to anyone but i just couldn't bring myself to buy ford though.
let's all keep our fingers and toes crossed for a sweet ride.
    cheers

It got the axe a while ago...

As far as the redesigned Charger don't go off what you see on the internet. Pretty much all of those are artist renderings that aren't from Chrysler.

a chrysler employee said they're quite close.

If you look at the tiny pic from the pdf, you can see some similarity
