I think a lot of dealers have no real expectation of getting the full "market adjustment", they merely use it as a means of claiming they discounted the price of the car. There are an awful lot of folks out there that actually buy off on that...

Those "market adjustment" add ons never enter into any negotiations I have with dealers. If the salesman tries it, I just get up and start to walk away. I'm never rude, I just tell him the car I'm looking at isn't the only one out there and thank him for his time. I've never made it off the lot, usually not even out of the showroom, before he comes to his senses.

They catch a lot of people like that who are not in the know. They'll just walk in and see the price and buy it as is. For us here on the rock, getting it at MSRP is pretty good, getting it under that deserves a party. I'm looking to but from from the connus as prices are much much better without the hassle.

Sup Hawaiian? Haha, I thought you was local from your handle. There are no good deals here for the consumer lol. I tried to pick up a nice black/black 12 SRT8 Charger from Windward but they wanted $53 out the door for a $49k MSRP car, no thanks. I'm so glad they didn't sell me the car for my offer of $50k because I just scored this today. Chrysler : 300 Series SRT8 6.4L V8 Chrysler : 300 Series SRT8 6.4L V8 - eBay (item 330742768563 end time Jun-03-12 15:50:40 PDT) After taxes and everything I'm looking at about $55k but that is so much more car and worth so much more than anything on this island. In fact, Windward had the first SRT8 Jeep to hit the island and they still have it, I wonder why lol.
We like Waiola but I like Uncle Clay's better. His strawberry syrup is real strawberry extract, not the dark red syrup. No forget the coco puffs too. If and when you come over lmk, you can check out our club. We're over 100 strong with some nice cars, mostly modern muscle but have some nice classics as well.

Lol. The point here is that you can save thousands on a new 300 SRT8 by purchasing at the end of the model year. With the money you saved, come take a nice vacation in Hawaii.

In VA the local dealer has about a 10k markup as well. They called me a month later and told me the car was still sitting on the lot and they would give it to me without the markup. Still didn't buy though....

Here's the deal. I'm the best there is. Plain and simple. I wake up in the morning and I piss excellence

At least they came down on the price lol. Dealers here sit on them like gold and will not budge.

Nice, and you didn't have to wait til the end of the model year. I just got the paperwork finalized and I'm about $2400 under MSRP, would have been close to $5000 under if I didn't have to ship the car across the entire US lol.
