Am I late to the party by noticing that the Alpine setup has been mid-year replaced by the Beats audio in the Charger? How is the sound of the Beats?

When we ordered my dad's car they were still using the Alpine but the Beats was listed as "late availability" so we didn't know which it would ship with. It ended up being Beats and other than the hideous emblems on the doors and the stupid splash screen that pops up when you start the car, it's a nice system. I don't have much experience with the Alpine, but this system is considerably better than the Boston in my Challenger and much, much better than my Grand Cherokee's Boston system.

Thanks for the reply. The Boston system in my challenger is not as good as the Boston in my Magnum. I think that the door panels on the challenger hold it back. I am of the opinion that the small holes cause a lot of resistance for air movement at high volumes.
I was worried that the beats system would be geared toward all bass.
My magnum on the other hand is an animal. I have never seen a factory system so good.
I have heard the Alpine on the Charger. I was very disappointed. I thought that someone forgot to hook up the subwoofer. I adjusted the Bass and nothing changed, it was worse than the Bose setup in my SSEi.

What is the difference between the beats and sound group upgrades? I have the sound group - alpine, iam not that impressed with it. Is Is there an audio upgrade system for chargers?
I have the Alpine system and IDK.....I think it sounds rather good.
Bass response is pretty good without being muddy, while the higher ranges sound just as good, being a split frequency setup up front, having the tweeters in the dash handle all the highs. Leaving the front door woofers to do their thing.
I thump it pretty good on the highway, but not so much that my ears bleed. IDK, I'm decently happy with the Alpine setup.
