Ok, I have a 2012 Charger and I wanna make it louder. What can I do to my exhaust and not kill my warranty? Res delete, suitcase delete, new muffler, catback system?
Ask Your Dealer
That wasn't much help.
Anything you modify on your exhaust will void the warranty on your exhaust only. If your tranny fails, they can't trace it back to the suitcase removal. So warranty on everything else will stay intact.

Ok let me clarify...Since my dealer will be fixing any warranty issues, I will ask my dealer if mod I want, will cause any issues with my warranty.
I've heard so many different things about warranty delete, that's why I asked since most of you have done an upgrade on some part of the exhaust system.
Although the dealer may tell you their thoughts on what they would cover, they may not be truthful all the time. There are laws that protect you on things like this.
So again, for info regarding your exhaust, please see my comment above.
Ok, Lets say You delete your reso...2 months later you drop a valve...the dealer says modifying your exhaust caused the engine problem....although everyone knows this is complete BS...it would be your responsibility to prove that exhaust mod didn't cause engine problems....Yes there are laws that protect consumers on vehicle warranties ....But sometimes having that law enforced involves courts and lawyers...so which would be more expensive...hiring a lawyer, or asking your dealer?
Talked to the dealer today and they quoted me $750 for the complete system. He wasn't very up on the cars, but he looked it up for the 3.6 and quoted it to me. Is this the same system as the SRT system? Also, I think this is with just one muffler. If so, this sounds pretty cheap. He also said that they could probably get me a discount too. they said this will get the typical 12/12 warranty for performance parts.
They also said that if I did reso delete and suitcase delete it would nix my warranty.

Ya, every dealer has a different story it seems. Frustrating.
He was an old dude, so he probably wasn't up on it.

Ya, I'll ask around then
Doing an exhaust upgrade will not void the warranty. Also i suggest to not do a reso delete as you will loose torque and it would sound awful
