    Exhaust back pressure problem.

Does anyone know it there is a fix to the error notice when performance mufflers are installed on SRT cars? I just got a new 300C SRT-8 and am itching to install a CAI and performance exhaust, maybe Corsa.

I spoke to a guy from Corsa, he said they were working with Chrysler for the error code fix. Who knows how long it will take. You can put yourself on a mailing list on Corsa's website. It's a must have for me,love their sound. I have a 2012 Charger str8.

You can get the Corsa for the Superbee (available now), it will fit but may cause you to throw codes. The code can be cleared by disconnecting the battery. Bob...as long as the CEL isnt on, you should be good to start the car. I've had that tube disconnected from the stock exhaust for almost 2 months and I've only tripped that CEL once, it'll clear itself after 3 "good" trips.

I posted a while back about this very issue. a reason or the biggest issue ive heard of( and happened to me )...that the exhaust wont sound like the way we would like it ( or to me LOUD/MEAN) and working properly....sounds great wide open, but when the car is at cruise ( i.e. ECO mode) the sound is not there and in comes the back pressure issue along with the check engine lights. I spent almost a thousand bucks after buying a catback/having issues/putting stock back on then a check engine light with threw the code we are referencing, which in turn retards the timing a bit and therefore the car loses power in the low end, bogs down, and so forth..along with way more fuel consumption which i did definitely notice.....food for thought...
