    Question 2ND GEN cargo net

Hey guys, need some guidance. On our 2ND GEN Charger/300, how does the cargo net install??? I know it clips to the eyelets at the back of the trunk, but does the strap in the middle go towards the back or front??? Should the opening be up top??? The reason I ask is because this damned net doesn't hold as many grocery bags as my previous 1st gen Charger. It's just too tight and small. I'm almost tempted to swipe one out of one of the 1st gen's out on the lot, or just buy a couple of those fold up organizers MOPAR sells. Anyone else notice this???

Opening to the top and strap towards the rear seat. Also, if you haven't noticed there are plastic hooks on each side of the trunk up top to hang grocery bag handles on. I'm able to put most of mine on those.

Thanks for the reply. The only thing about the bag hooks, you can get only 2 full grocery bag the hook, then the rest of the bags are left to roll around. There just isn't that much room in the side of the trunk.

How are you using the hooks, you should be able to get 6-8 bags on the hooks, or atleast I can. Hang bags on one side of the hook and then the other side of the double sided hook. It's just to catch the handles and ok if the bags are overlapping each other. Your other option is to get some of those large reusable cloth bags, just two of them and keep them in you trunk. When you get groceries, drop the grocery bags in the big bags and loop them in the hooks.

I have to admit, the new cargo net is pretty weak. Not very deep and does not open very wide.

Yes new cargo net sucks compared to the 1st gens. The old ones would at least create a divider in the trunk. This 2nd gen one does jack squat!

    Cool

I decided to go with this cargo tote from Mopar:

    Mopar EASy

I ordered a couple of them. They fold up easy and have the right amount of pockets. I looked at similar ones sold at Target and Walmart and they were either more expensive or weren't as big. I'll use the useless cargo net to hold junk in.

    Behold, the result

Got the organizers a few weeks ago, put them in a few days ago. They work very well to contain the bags and stuff. The trunk can fit 2 more organizers long-aways in front if desired.

    Exclamation

Another note, these have the Dodge symbol and name printed on the sides. For the Chrysler it will be a different part number.
