Southern Maryland's 2nd Annual 'Toys for Tots' M&G DEC 6th W/Rally!

Hi everyone!!! I'm proud to announce that we will be having our:

Second Annual 'Toys for Tots' Meet and Greet Saturday December 6th, 2008!!!

I'd like to formally invite everyone to this second annual 'Toys for Tots' Meet and Greet being held at Prince Frederick Chrysler Jeep Dodge. The M&G will be held Saturday December 6th, 2008 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. All LX cars that join the M&G are asked to donate a NEW toy as an entry fee. Toys will be collected after you have parked your car and settled in.

I am so excited about this event. After the M&G we will have a road rally simular to our Solomon's Island runs we have during our events this year and last. More to come on this part of the day.

Last year we collected an entire Mini Van full of Toys and met the Marines in Lexington Park to hand them the toys, it was exciting!!! Check out this video from last year:

This year again I'll be lining up some classic Mopar Muscle Cars from the 60's and 70's to be on display - Hemi's to say the least - so come on out!!!! Bring a toy - have some chow - you'll have fun!

The M&G is from 10:00am to 2:00pm and will include:

1) Best in Show Contest. Like before we will vote on everyone'c choice of the best in show LX. Placards will be givin out for each car and voting deadlines will be announced. Winner will recieve Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places!

2) FOOD!!!!!!!! and I mean FOOOOODDDDD!!! Again, like before, the dealership will be providing us with free burgers/dogs and more - bring an appetite!!

3) I am lining up some Performance Shop Sponsers to join us. We are in conversation with a few who will be permanent sponsors, WOW, more to come here!!!

4) There will be a 50/50 Raffle, same as before, donated to the Calvert County Sheriff Department's Widows and Orphans Fund. Please donate!!!!!

5) Limited numbers of M&G Charger 2009 Calendars will be available for purchase, let me know if your interested here so I can make sure your cars picture is in the calendar.

I am working on the details of the Rally afterwards. Depending on how many folks show interest will guide me on the layout.

I know its in December - it may be super cold too but come on and bring that Charger out!!!!!!

The Dealership will be advertising this event on the radio, TV and we will have major coverage with local newspapers as well so there will be a new mix compared to our more privite events in the past. Stay tuned, more to come!!!!!!!!

As you can see in these last few pictures we rallyed down to Lexington Park, met the Marines who were set up there and we set a chain to unload the Mini Van full of toys!! It was a very exciting day for everyone and a good cause too!! Hope to see you this year!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Well our big 'Toys for Tots' weekend is rapidily approaching!!! Shime em up and get that NEW toy ready!!!! We had a shift in command at Prince Frederick Chrysler Jeep Dodge and we thought the event was going to be pulled but NO WAY!!! The new leadership can't wait for our event, but due to the trialing times with the economy there will be no free food this time around so be sure to pack your lunch!!!

Hey guys, we have worked out our 'Toys for Tot' drop off after the rally, thanks to squidtracy and sublime154 , see below:

Update: OK everyone, here's the latest. SquidTracy has been pounding the pavement on this one. After we finish up @ Prince Fredrick Dodge, we will rally thru the back roads of Calvert County as planned. After the rally, we will cross the Solomans Island bridge and regroup on the shoulder. At this point, St Mary's county police will meet us there. (This could change if they get busy and don't have an officer available) From there, they will escort us to Park Dodge to meet the Marines and drop off the toys. After the drop off, we will move next door to Damons for a feast. Thanks to the hard work on SquidTracy's part, Damons has agreed to give us a 10% discount on our meal or drinks. Soooo, try to plan to rally on down to Lexington Park for the drop off and then a good munch out.

If anyone wants to Caravan from Tysons Corner, meet up at the Circuit City (Near McDonalds, Exxon, Starbucks, and The Container Store) in Tysons at 8:45, depart at 9:00. Please RSVP to caravan@dclxclub.com if you plan on meeting in Tysons on Saturday. Don't forget to bring a new unwrapped Toy for the event.
This is about one mile west of the Capitol Beltway off the Route 7 Exit. If you are coming from the Capitol Beltway it will be on your right hand side about 100 yards down from Tysons Dodge/Jeep.

There is also an Exxon station VERY close in case you need gas.
