    Race fuel locations??

Does anyone have any idea on how you can search for gas stations that carry race fuel? I can't seem to find any way of doing this. With the gas shortage in Charlotte, I've been putting 87 octane in the car when I can find it. I could use a good race fuel to counter it if I can find some......

    Race fuel

I raced stock cars for quite a long time and always used airplane fuel. If you have a small airport near by perhaps they could sell you some. It has a much higher octane level. I would check first though to verify that nothing has changed since my racing days. The fuel you want is called AVGAS. Here is a link http://toolkit.bootsnall.com/transpo...ther-fuel.html

Any Petro Express on the north side of town should have it. I know the one on W.T.Harris near CPCC has it for sure. I think the one on Prosperity Church Road & Mallard Creek has it too.

Hmmm.... There is a small airport nearby. I'll check with one of my guys that used to keep his plane there......

Thanks - Mallard Creek isn't too far of a drive.

I definitely need it. The knock I was getting at the track lastnight was killing me.....

No problem man. I know I got race gas with a friend once there when I was living out in that area. Hopefully they still have it. I mean they're only about 5 miles from the track so they should have it still.

And only about 5 miles from where I am now

I'll try heading that way for lunch tomorrow. Although with the gas crunch the way it is here, I won't be surprised if they are out of race gas too. People will put anything in their cars!
