Cecil County Raceway Friday Night 10/13

Boogity, boogity, boogity.

I have some work to do between today and tomorrow to be ready for tomorrow, but plan on leaving Lancaster around 4pm, with my 8 and 11 yr old for an evening at the track.

They'll be getting a pizza on the way, learning how to run the new CamCorder (to get some out of focus, out of frame shots I'm sure).

Gates open at 5pm
Runs start at 6pm
I'll be leaving by 8:30pm-ish, but hopefully get 3 or 4 runs in.

Temps are suppose to get down to the upper 30's.
HEMI's LOVE LOVE LOVE cold temps.
This could be a low numbers night.
My 13.7 and 13.8's were all on a night like this last year.

I plan on cleaning the CAI today, doing the blinker mod since I'll have the CAI out, putting new silverstar Fogs in, doing the 25 cent fan mod for the track....and running the car down to a 1/4 tank.

Anyone else feel like running?

C'mon you Maryland, Delaware, SE Pa folks...NO One is up for a 1/4 mile run...or the smell of burning rubber, sound of open headers..etc...??

Starting projects now, just got back from picking up supplies....Going to be one with the garage floor for the next hour.

Last post....

Well, got the 25 cent mod done, actually my 11 yr old did that one. Fan is ON when I want it. I'll probably finish it with the switch inside and do the Jim Turner Mod during the Fall.

Mopar Filter is thoroughly cleaned and drying...I'll be patient and wait to thoroughly oil it in the morning.

Put new SilverStar Fogs on, as well as peeled Rockblockers from the fogs....one had burned a bit and was bugging me.

Tomorrow I'll try to get the sticky stuff off the lens with a scuff pad and some acetone/thinner, etc...whatever I have on the downstairs workbench.

We also did the blinker mod with the PC on the garage workbench.....and listening to RT's perfect instructions.

Detailed the engine bay, dressed the tires and washed windows.

Time for a glass of wine and a bit o' relaxation.

I'M READY FOR THE TRACK!

Oh so tempting after not being fully satisfied with yesterdays performance at MIR. Is it not pouring rain up there? Raining buckets down here and projected to continue into tomorrow.

Yeah...hemi, it's raining buckets. Worst part is it will be raining tomorrow and I have to drive about 4 miles to the tire shop on my drag radials...:grin:

Gonna keep my eye on cecil schedule. If you grab a night/day that works, PM me. Can't gauruntee anything right now...we are getting ready to head to Florida for a week. I may wait till after Thanksgiving and ge the Dec 1-Dec 16 dates before they close.
