10/25 M&G in Woodstock, VA
Alright, 1 week (plus or minus a few hours) out so all plans are final at this point.
Just gonna be a nice, laid back M&G. The schedule is as follows:- 10:30 - Meetup and hangout in Ponderosa parking lot. Photos and fun conversation to be had. There are several places to eat (fast food as well as more formal dining) in the immediate area, so you can have lunch with your friends.
- 1:15-1:30ish - Meet back at Ponderosa to organize for the cruise.
- 1:30ish - Cruise through the Shenandoah Valley.
- The first leg will be about 32 miles and follow back roads (one aptly named Back Rd) from Woodstock all the way up to Strasburg. Our first stop will be at Loves/Wilco Truck Stop in Tom's Brook. Here's a map (cant post a url yet so PM me for the map)
- The second leg will be about 21 miles and follow small roads south through the valley. There will be a brief stop at Woodstock Garage (my local Dodge dealership) so they can see what real Chargers look like (there is plenty of parking and I am trying to arrange some swag from the dealer). We will then continue on to Mount Jackson for our final stop at Sheetz. This is a location convenient to the interstate. Here's a map (cant post a url yet so PM me for the map)
Directions to Woodstock:
I strongly suggest you use Google maps to plot your route. Simply get directions to "Woodstock, VA 22844". They should take you via Interstate 81.
Directions to the Ponderosa Parking lot:
From I-81 N: At the end of the exit, take a right. Follow straight through 2 stoplights. The parking lot is ahead on the right.
From I-81 S: At the end of the exit, take a left. Follow straight through 2 stoplights. The parking lot is ahead on the right.
Please come on out and have a fun time with us. I'll be there, rain or shine, whether I am the only car or not. We'll be driving through some lovely countryside, so bring your cameras. I also plan to have my camera and tripod setup to take nice shots of everyone's cars.
See you then.
Edit: Also, if you have a GPS unit or GPRS radios, I would suggest bringing them as well. They will be handy on the cruise.
