    UAS owner's....

I just wanted to to see how long have you guys had your system installed and how many miles have you clocked on them. Any problems with either the front or rear bags? ever blown one?

I've had my system installed for a little under 4 years and about 50k miles on them. Looking at the bags recently, they look a little "tired". I was thinking about re-bellowing all corners just for cheap insurance, but i would like to hear how everyone else is holding up.

    Thanks

I have had the system on my magnum for 2 years...roughly seven thousand miles. Only issue was s tank fitting developed a leak and fixed that.

I don't put many miles on the car so I'm not a good example. Plenty of people with systems for 4 years or so with no issues.

Almost all issues that I have seen could be attributed to a bad install...such as air line rubbing or bags rubbing suspension parts.

I purchased my first setup new back in February of 2007, and rode on that for about 18 months before I transferred it over to my best friend's Charger. He's still riding on that same setup 2 years later without any issues. When I sold him the original system, I rebellowed both rear bags due to the odd angle they sit at in the rear, which obviously tends to put some strain on the bag's seals. He hasn't had to do anything else to them since.

I purchased a used UAS setup for my SRT last August from one of the original UAS/LX installs out west. From what Zack said, it was installed back in 2005...? It's been awhile since that conversation, so I'm not 100% sure of the original install date, but it was older than my first setup. I had the seller send the kit directly to Zack (he actually lived close enough to drop it off), and UAS refreshed the kit and looked everything over. I want to say Zack replaced one of the bags and rebellowed the other. My memory is a bit shaky on this, but as always, UAS made sure things were up to their standards. I've had zero issues with this setup, although my fronts look a little bit worked over considering they've spent almost 5 years installed on a few different LX's.

In regards to major issues, I haven't had one that was related at all to the age/amount of miles on the system. I've been extremely pleased with the quality, as has TheBeej with his. I would consider both "high mileage" as they've both been traveled on well above 50K miles.

What do you mean by tired? Are you seeing any threads from the belting on the bag?

Also like Simans had said, its usually the rear bags that wear out first because of the angle.

Don't quote me, but I want to say Zack at UAS had around 150K on his bags before he actually had one blow.

Having them rebellowed is not very expensive. So personally, if I am questioning it, to the point of being concerned, and I have a 2 week window of down time on the car, I would send them in to be rebellowed.

You might want to get some pics of the entire bag and the areas you are concerned with. Would make it alot easier to tell the condition.

A bit over 5 years on mine now. Around 50,000 miles. I didn't notice any issues with them when I installed my BCR coilovers a month or so ago.

i had one bag rebellowed on the girlfriends car looked like something jumped up and put a small shallow slit in it... if it was mine probably wouldn't do anything but since its her car safety is the only option...

if you dont like what you see get them rebellowed cheap insurance in my book plus you will feel safer driving around..
