Rob,
I just toke mine to the dealer last week with the instructions for the DRLs. They used the same proceedure on the wipers on/lights on and it worked fine.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
Fairly simple. From the main menu click "Vehicle Prep" scroll down until the "lights on with wipers" selection is visible. Select it and click start. Click enable and then finish. Woop there it is! LOL!
That is one feature I really like. Freaked my dealer out the other day when i showed him. Even the tech guy had no clue that you could do this.![]()

whats this lights on with wipers all about?
when the wipers come on, so do the headlamps. if you have auto headlamps. this feature can be enabled using starscan. might be able to do it with EVIC also.Originally Posted by maggiemay

Its even the law in NY. I don't know if other states have it or not.

I run with the fogs (Silverstars) on all the time, makes it easy to spot an Magnun from a loooong way away. We should get a way to spot forum members anyway, maybe this would help!

Remember that there is about a 15 second delay between the time the wipers come on and when the (automatic, if programmed) headlights come on. This 'feature' lets you use the pulse wipers without involving the headlights. I believe too that the headlamp switch must be in the "A" (auto) mode, but I am not sure about this.
So don't be too impatient when testing it to see if it is working!
correct, mister bond.Originally Posted by Pushbutton

Let's see if anybody finds this... Let's say you freebied yourself the automatic headlamp feature with a dremel... This will still work as long as you're in the (not marked) automatic position? And it's NOT DRL, right?
You must be in the auto (or in your case where the auto position would be) for this feature to work. And it is not DRL's. Your regular headlights come on after the delay.
