I use Helium. Makes the car lighter, faster, and better gas mileage. But you have to watch speed bumps. It sometimes takes a few seconds before the tires settle back down.

Unless it already had a spare tire with a sensor in it which I doubt, it will not work. There are several variations of the TPM system. It will only see the wheels that are moving. LX cars with TPM do not have spare tire monitoring. The majority of LX cars have compact spares with steel wheels, which don't accept TPM sensors. Likewise with the full size spare option on the cop cars. Steel wheels- no sensors. If the wheel you bought was installed and not stowed, it would eventually recognize the new sensor ID, and shut off the light. These TPM systems can be very finicky. I had the sales manager's demo with the TPM light on and it did have low tires. The majority of the time, you just have to fill the tires to the right pressure and if the sensor are still awake, the light will shut off. If it does not shut off, drive the vehicle at a staedy speed over 25 MPH until the light goes off. But this demo's TPM light just would not shut off. I cleared the codes with the StarScan-light was still on-drove the car several times-light was still on-I was about ready to call STAR when after a few minutes with the key on and the engine off, the light shut itself off. To make a long story short (Too Late!!!) unless the wheel is being used it will not be recognized by the TPM. Hope this helps!!!

    Here's a legit question....

If your SRT originated with the staggered tire package(255/45/20 rear) And you decided to go with 245's all around would you have to re-calibrate via starscan? Thanks.
