    Can bus network overview screen

    From the main screen seen below select Network view:

    When you do, a very detailed image of the bus layout is displayed. The items that are not blue in color are items that could be configured but are not available in this vehicle.

    I will post a list of acronyms that should make this view a bit easier to understand. It will be under the starscan section of the knowledgebase. From this view, you can easily move from one module to another by simple touching the screen. This is just a different way to navigate the system.

    this screen is accessed from the network view button and any non responsive, installed modules will show up in red.

    So if you add a module that's considered not built in, will it still stay grey?

    If it is a factory module it will show up. Aftermarket probably not since the software would have to be programmed for it.

    Here's one to be answered-you go into the various StarScan menus, specifically the Vehicle Preparation section, then into Program Network Configuration, where you find the various options "modules" that can be set up. For example there is VES(Video Entertainment system), SDARS(satellite radio), HFM(Hands Free module), and then there is ITM.
    Does anyone know what that is the abbreviation for?

    ITM = Intrusion Transceiver Module

    An intrusion module is part of the premium version of the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS). The premium version of the VTSS is only available in vehicles built for certain markets (export), where the additional features offered by this system are required. This unit is designed to work in conjunction with the intrusion sensor transmitter and intrusion sensor receiver to provide interior motion detection and serves as the interface between the Front Control Module (FCM), the Cabin Compartment Node (CCN), and the alarm siren.

    this would trigger the alarm if motion was detected inside the vehicle, regardless if the glass was broken or not. if you left your windows down and someone reached inside your vehicle, the alarm would trigger.
    not sure if this could be retrofitted to a domestic market LX. the wiring harness for export markets is very different. you might have better luck rigging a mopar kit that they sell for the JR sebring convertible.

    Unhappy 2006 Charger SXT...problems

    Hello, well here is my headache from the start..

    I just traded in my 04 stratus r/t for a 06 charger sxt, which is a very sharp ride...couldnt afford the r/t version but none the less its still a kick a.. ride, anyways to get to my reason for posting, i got the car 3/17/06.
    I only had the car for about 16 hours and all of a sudden the engine light came on along with the abs light,the brake light,the esp/bas light also was on so i stopped and shut the car off,tried to restart it but got nothing,had battery power but wouldnt do nothing, sat for a second and was lookin up the road side assistance number and decided to try and restart it...it started,, i was hopin it was just a puter fart and continued on my way, with only the engine light beaming constantly,which is a sign of a sensor needing reset...thought all would be ok......then all the other lights that i mentioned above came on again,so i immediately drove to the chrysler dealership from which i had just bought it from,my salesman came out and i showed him what was up along with some nasty comments, i had problems with my 04 stratus r./t, when i bought it with 180 miles on it,and had it in the shop in less than 2 days of buying that. I shut it off(charger) and tried to restart it...nothing,,,waited a bit and still nothing. wont even turn over.. fuel pump kicks on ...but thats it.... anyone else have any problems or hear of any...cuz i am a big mopar fan but its starting to fade a bit ,,,either i have bad luck or this is the start of problems with the charger,,i got rid of my stratus r/t cuz the warranty was about to expire...33,200 miles on it,so i would have some reliability...huh...was i wrong...thanks for readin this...sorry i rambled on...thanks computers....ugggggggggg they supposedly fixed it got it back on that next monday

    Well it was the main control module,fancy word for main computer i guess.
    They said that the part costs $2,500 to $3,000,it will be there in two to three days. They told me that if i have any problems with it after i get it back,computer stuff,that they will swap me even up for a identical charger..So i guess i gotta go with that,what else can i do? not a whole hell of alot i reckon. thanks for readin all this.... ill take some pics when i get it back....should be thursday or at the latest friday,i dont know how long it takes to replace it, my luck it will take 72 days 7 hours and 34 mins....
