Well, not a street legal one, but the Super Stock Drag car version will be available in just a couple of weeks.
Who cares if you can't drive it on the street right?

Well, I was wondering... and maybe someone smarter than me can elaborate on this theory...
It seems that if you added a front and rear bumper, wipers, and all the other things to make it street legal, it SHOULD be ok, but I wonder.... is there a VIN designation that would prevent this car from ever being able to be registered for the street regardless of modifications?
And here is the video of it for those that did not see it months ago...

You can make any car street legal. You can go to your local state inspection agency. All the vehicle needs to do is pass inspection. I build limos so this is a pretty common thing. The inspection can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour and costs $21 here in IL. Hope this helps.
It will be built off what is known as a body in white which for the pro drag guys you know what that is. For those of you unfirmiliar with the term that means that as a car went down the line there was a defect in the production of it could be anything as simple as a dent in the roof or an incomplete weld but they cannot use that body in real world driving situations so they sell the shell in a "body in white" whick alot of the prostock and door slammers are made out of. There will be no VIN # associated with the chassis and you will recieve a Bill of Sale only so registering it for street driving would be next to impossible because it would then need to meet the emissions standards of the year it closest resembles being a "kit" car.
This is exactly why I didnt wait for the drag package, I new thered be a catch. Plus how much are they gonna ask for it?

I'm betting if you go by the original S/S Cuda's and Darts they were 60% over standard sticker price so I'm betting they will retail @ $75g but the dealers will get over 100g I bet. And good luck ordering one if your not a pro race team I bet too. I've already talked to our local dealer to get one and they Laughed.
