Whe do you think a challenger will sell at sticker price??

Just built one on the dodge web-site 40k when will it sell for that? looks like 3 seat belts in back, one for each kid so I am ready when the price gets real....

Some members on LXF have orders in for sticker so it's possible. Most of the 2008s will be marked up between $10k and $30k. I think I read one went on ebay for $50k above sticker.

Friday, I put out some feelers and got a call from a dealer about 35 miles from here, and said they were expecting 3 between next month and April, 1 orange, 1 black, 1 grey and if I would purchase in the next week, agree to sell @ 5K over sticker. I said NO THANKS... keeping my 06 SRT8 Mag, only has 2,700 miles on it anyhew! Jim

This time next year you should be able to get one for sticker price (or below) and you will have 3 models to choose from as well as a manual tranny. Though it will be a 2009. In the summer of 2009, I expect bigger rebates too on left over 2009's. Thats my prediction anyway. Just be patient and you'll save, just like on the Chargers now.

I think 09's will sell at sticker fairly commonly after the first round of shipments. They won't be too limited, so dealers will be able to get them, and should have some sitting on lots.

With over 5,000 08 SRT8's going out, and the first wave of 09's, there will be plenty to go around for those that NEED to have one.

The first 6 speeds however will probably command a decent premium.

Just returned from the Toronto International Auto Show. The Challenger, by far, was drawing the most attention and was having more pictures taken of it than any other car there. This car is the first in this decade to command so much attention!

I sent an email to numerous Dodge dealers and stated I would pay cash for the car if they commit on price now. One of the dealers replied "I would love to sell you an Orange Challenger this weekend but I am not going to receive them until March or April, (OK I accept this) and there might be a Premium price on them, we haven't received any invoices on them so I would be able to quote you a price. But when I do I will be e-mailing you ASAP."


I doubt the so called "Premium price" described is one that comes from Dodge. It is the dealers that are bumping up the prices and as stated by others on this forum, be patient and prices will come down! This is what I did when I bought my SRT8 Charger. Actually, got a $2500 rebate which went toward the gas guzzler tax.
