Saw blk R/T 6 spd at dealer today

Man, it was NICE, too! Exactly what I would order: black with the charcoal hood-to-fender stripes and the 6 spd - just gorgeous! For kicks I asked a salesman what the price was - $48,000. If my 4 yr old wasn't there I'd have told him to F@*# his hat!! Yeah, they're selling them for a few thou above invoice because the demand is so high for them right now (I'm paraphrasing him). I'm thinking, I haven't seen but ONE of them around here and it was one of the 2008 Canadian 500's at a car show.

    What a dank. I can't stand salesmen.

BTW, to build that car online, FULLY optioned, the price comes out to $42,095 (+ freight and PDI, I'm sure).

2009 BB 300C SRT8 - Diablosport Predator, LMI Hammer-design intake, lower rad-shroud mod, 180* t-stat, BT catch can (unplugged for winter), Mopar hitch, dashboard hula girl, Blizzak tires on 18" Borbet type TS rims for winter.
...And yeah, I beat that yellow 'vette by a tenth - LOL!

Give them 2 or 3 months and when the cars are still sitting on the lot they will be getting realistic and be willing to deal. I love that "high demand" crap, yeah really, where exactly? I don't see them just flying off the lots, sitting and rotting is more appropriate. Westlock still can't get rid of the 2008 SRT8 Challenger that is sitting in the showroom, nobody wants the thing. Salesmen like that are @$$clowns..... plain and simple. Legal told me they wanted $52000 for a full load SRT8 6 speed car, and that is also high. Not much but a bit. If I do buy one( depends now on how badly the economy tanks) I will tell them $45000, period and no more.........tax and whatnot included. If they can't sell it for that, I don't really need one that bad. I might just wait anyhow, if Chrysler goes under their cars will become worthless anyhow............

Johnstown Dodge in NY will sell you any Challenger at MSRP. Not a deal but better than paying over sticker. They have an A5 R/T & an M6 CSRT.

Personally I am a wait and see person. I wanted a Mag R/T from the second that I saw it during the Super Bowl in 2004 (that was the wardrobe malfunction game). I waited until early 2006 and got an 05 with 3,000 for $24,995. Around here at the time dealers were marking Mags up 2-3k when they first came out. The best things come to those who wait.

One of the dealers here in Dayton has 3 R/Ts. All 6 spds. One black, one white, one red. The black in $33.8k (no leather), the other two are loaded at $38K MSRP.

48 Grand!?? LOL. These Dodge dealers are so full of crap with their markups. We have a jerk-off dealer here trying to get 47,500 for a used SRT Chally with 1500 miles on it. Its gonna be sad when these cars sit for 6 months and the Camaro comes out. No one will want the overpriced Challengers and everyone will be headed to their Chevy dealer to buy an SS Camaro that will blow the highest priced Challenger off the road for an MSRP of only 31,000. The Camaro is gonna be a lightweight 422 HP 6 speed as a base model SS. If Dodge doesnt wake up they are gonna be in trouble cuz the Camaro's comin and its gonna be wipin the streets with everything out there. Our local Chevy dealer is taking orders now at MSRP with no ridiculous mark-ups.

Waverley Chrysler in WInnipeg has an Orange 09 A5, I think R/T......can't remember anymore lol, for $48,000....MSRP is $46,000 and some child wrote in pen just below the price "$2000 market adjustment increase" or similar.

    pathetic.

No Chrysler product is worth the msrp let alone a mark up. You would be flipping mad to even pay msrp on the Challengers.

That IS the one. Salesman told me to throw in an offer for $47,000 and the managers might surprise me and take it. HAHAHAHA!! What a double-D-bag!!
