We have a black on order with all the goodies. As of now we have a great relationship with our dealer. BUT.... he is trying to say that there will be a $25,000 up charge. Guess we'll see if they will want any future business from us!
I ordered mine in Dec. from Community Motors in Hammond, La. We wanted Orange, but it was taken. So we are getting Black with Grey interior. It has everything except the optional tires. Getting it for MSRP:$41,935. Got the VIN on 4-25-08. It is:2B3LJ74W88H301061. Can I track the VIN on this board; to find out delivery date.

The tracking system will work for your vehicle once it is in D1 status. Some have reported that the name may have to be entered in all caps. I have not been able to verify this as my order is still in D status. Based on the information I have received, my production date has been pushed back 2 times now to 6/4/08 as the scheduled gateline. Once it hits there I should be able to track it in the tracking page.

I called the Chrysler 800 number to get a status update. My status was D-1. To make sure I called the dealer where I ordered it, they also said it was D-1. Then I tried to track it on the tracking system to track the Challenger.The web-site said it could not be found; to call the dealer. How does the tracking system work?
It appears that this site is case specific and will not show any results if entered incorrectly. This depends on how the names are entered into the dealership system then transferred to Dodge. Most dealerships seem to use all caps, so try your name in all caps and enter the last 8 digits of the vin. If it still doesn't work, try all small letters. Also, don't forget any additional items for your name, like jr. or II
