Now that Camaro is both faster n cheaper any buyers remorse?

I admit that the camaro isn't as stylish and good looking inside out than the challenger, except when it comes to the fat porky ass on the Challenger, which is a major turnoff for a coupe. I read the camaro chassis was designed to be flexible and very mod friendly, i heard the chassis was designed to accept bigger tires and all kinds of mods that go beyond just engine upgrades. On top of that the LS has been around a while and has a ton of more aftermarket support and is a thousand times more tuner frindly than the Hemi. it seems that the Challenegr has just about everything going against it these days and the sales have been so dissapointing that its pratically dead to cerberus. i have a strong and sad feeling that this generation of Challenger unlike its legendary predecessor will only be remebered as the slowest of the modern musclecar wars and a big what if dodge would of actually believed and invested in it. By dropping a coupe on a charger platform and calling it a Challenger they basically gave up on it before it ever had a runing chance. This car might hold its value for future generations, but only because of its rarity and looks, but you'll never hear ourr kids talk about how it terrorized anything on four wheels on the street or the track, in that regard its always going to live in the camaros shadow, sad but true.

Even if the Camaro was half the price of a Challenger, Id still have trouble buying a car that ugly. It just looks awful if you ask me.

Granted, I am glad to see American Muscle in general making a comeback, so I cant hate too much.....

But my god, the Challenger is one sexy vehicle. I cannot say the same for the Camaro in any sense.

Buyer’s remorse only if the interior is as roomy and adjustable (peddles, seats and steering wheel).

What am I talking about, I paid less than $30k for my new SRT8.....
It looks like 2012 will be very good indeed.
Unless the Mayans are right, then, well, never mind.

I have to agree to a certain point. The Challenger looks a lot better but the Camaro at first look seems to be a great bang for the buck performance wise. I was however going to sell my RT to buy the Challenger SRT but a week later they pulled the employee pricing off the SRT and now they pulled it off the RT as well. At least with the discount it brought the price down 10% and made it more reasonable in this economic mess we are in right now. I heard that the dealers were complaining about the discounts of the Challenger because they were able to sell them at or above sticker. When the EP was on the RTs they were flying off the lots in my area. Since they pulled the EP of the RTs my local dealer has 4 on his lot for 5 weeks now. I think that after the first round of folks who were waiting for them to come out and had to have one NOW the demand has dropped. If the economy was better I think they would be selling more.
For the hard core track & performance crowd the Camaro is going to be their choice. For the crowd that wants better looks and still good performance the Challenger is their ticket. I personally like the look of the Camaro (not better than the Challenger mind you) and I think between the younger people and the hard core Chevy folks plus the very reasonable cost they are going to sell tons of them like the stangs. Way back when the Challenger was is conception I was hoping for a 500HP monster and not a Charger with a different skin. If Chrysler survives the next few months I hope they put the EP back on the SRT at some time. If all you want is performance their is always a faster car to buy. Hell my Charger all dressed up now I'll have a hard time selling it because I do love the look of the car but I always wanted a Challenger back in the day.

That's the real reason right there.

I don't see any realistic argument to the Challengers HUGE proportions. On the street it seems bigger than my 300! The size and weight are a handicap you can't escape. But they also make for a nice smooth ride on the road.

The Camaro is bad ass in the extreme. Wait till you see one in person and then tell me you don't like it.

I just hope they reincarnate the Z28! It may actually be built!

option out a camaro... it's hardly cheaper at all if you load it up. tuning is no longer an issue, just parts cost. I think the challengr is safe.

x100. Even the R/T Challenger appeals to be about 1000 times more than the top of the line Camaro. It's just too out there. The Challenger on the other hand is downright sexy and beautifully designed.

No remorse here! Am I the only one who bought my Challenger at close to EP even though it wasn't being offered? Just tell them how much you want to pay them for their car!

Don't get the remorse thing....if speed was the only factor why isnt everyone here driving a GT500? I love my challenger and couldn't care less if they stopped making them tomorrow (I have mine) ahem, except of course if some of you still want one, ahem.
I get looks and waves (and drools) every time I'm out in it. Not hating the camaro but I just can not stand that pointy nose...it not only points foward but down as well...looks like shrek sat on the hood, but I know others will love it. Hell, the Super-Bird and Daytona 500 were pretty fugly, too, but I'm sure that anyone that still has one is damn glad they bought it, lol
I'll be the first to admit the chally's a boat. There's a narrow bridge by my house and I feel better driving a full sized pick-up across it with on-coming traffic than the Challenger, so I know its not perfect either. But no remorse here!

....now if there was only a way to fill the body panels with helium....

There's was a black SS sitting in my neighbors driveway yesterday... he works in quality at the plant in Oshawa where they make the Camaro.

I never liked the car in photos or the pre-production ones that have been driving around town for the past 4-5 months. After checking out this black SS, I have completely changed my mind. The car looks amazing in person! I would probably still choose a Challenger, but the Camaro would get consideration and a test drive.

Prepare to be impressed when you see them... even the interior looks better in person.

Now if Dodge put the 6.1 in an Avenger would that be "the car to buy"? See what I mean? Not the fastest that matters to me.....would be freakin fun though.
