It is long, but interesting read.
Nice read man!
I am laughing in my office looking like a complete a$$ to those around at this one. . . classic.
“Don’t ask me, I got no idea!” says a short, avocado-shaped twenty-going–on-fifty-something woman in glasses.

Yeah, good one!
Jeez, I thought I was lucky getting a warning going 82 in a 55. 152 mph! Hilarious..

Great story. They talked about an silver AMG E55 that was running mid 12's. I do believe I know that car. It belongs to a doctor out of Birmingham. I met him at the track in Steele, AL last year.

Funny story. Proof reading wouldn't hurt though. It's embarassing to have mistake like this:
3:47 pm New Jersey
Back up to 88 mph, even after I promised myself I wouldn’t speed. But it’s just impossible in this car—the engine idols at 80. All this open road, and the warm rumble of the engine…who in their right mind could drive at 65 in this thing?
Come on.

My God! Its taking me like 30 minutes to read this. great f'ing story.
He finally pulls into the Shoney’s lot, wide smile on his face. “Maaan, you ain’t gonna believe this ****!” he says to his friend Kevin. “This thing is the devil!”
“You just won the lottery!” Kevin chortles.I fixed that problem in the first 500 miles. In these hairpin turns, the weakness of the Challenger becomes more prominent. There’s simply too much body roll, an obvious repercussion of the car’s substantial weight (4140 lbs). A tighter suspension, with stiffer springs and swaybars, would help alleviate the sense that you’re weaving a giant drunken elephant through Nürburgring’s Northern Loop. Let’s just say that this car is definitely, without question, the modern manifestation of the true classic American Muscle Car. For better and for worse.
That's just awesome! The club’s dying out, slow night in Birmingham, but a bunch of the locals have taken to us like a visiting NBA team, and offered to take us out. The only suggestion is the Blue Monkey, the local afterhours. Before we know it, 4 girls have piled into the car and one is driving it. Good lord, who let a stripper behind the wheel??!!
For the love of GOD!! I'm only on day 5. Is there an audio recording of this story? This guy is a great f'ing writer.
Entertaining read for sure.
Honest to God...the attention a Challenger draws is ridiculous. There have been several occasions where my wife has been uncomfortable riding along with me in the Challenger because of all the people pointing, waving, taking pictures, etc. Who knew a $30k car could make you feel like a rock star? Weird.
After a long day at work I'm usually beat up and tired. I started reading the story and couldn't stop until I was finished... that was a very good read.. well done!
we let one of the cops take the Dodge out for a test-drive…we decided to take their car out on a test-drive of our own.
Apparently, he was in such a rush to get back to the hotel to sleep he got popped going 152 miles per hour in the early morning emptiness of Atlanta. NICE!!!!
