Nope, not going to happen

At the Spring Fest @ the round table meeting, it was asked and was very firmly put down. "Not going to happen due to roll over requirements.

Crap. I guess I'm keeping my Firebird then. Odd that Ford can produce a ragtop mustang, and even Mopar can produce a Sebring convertible, but rollovers become an issue for the Challenger.

In light of Chrysler's financial situation, I doubt we will see the Challenger convertible. Unless things change drastically in the next few years.

That's really too bad because I was looking forward to a Panther Pink Challenger with all white leather top and interior. Sweet! Now I'll just have to buy a classic one.

I talked to a guy in Dogde Marketing at the auto show and he said they contiue to get asked about it from the public, and the powers that be have not given them an answer yet one way or another.
The feeling he gave me was it kind of depends on how well the Challenger sells.

But he also stated it IS going to be produced thru 2012.

Thats not true. IF you remember what Ralph said there working on a new paint option that would allow for one of colors from the factory.

Yea I know it was me that asked him about it and then thats when he told us about the one of Colors that there working on. There's always the body shop if they don't come out with what we want.
