    Got Oil changed at dealer now car smokes in the morning

    Any one ever had this problem before, I just got my oil changed at the dealer and now when I start my car in the morning I get a Ticking noise on start up till the oil pressure builds up but at the same time I am getting a big puff of white blueish smoke at the same time. Can't go back to the same dealer because they closed there doors. Any one went through this before just after a oil change?

    I know the 6.1L sucks in oil through the PCV valve. A bunch of us have put catch cans on to stop it. If you think something is fishy about the oil (like recycled or ??), I would take the car to another place and have the oil changed again. I would specify the type of oil you want.

    it's an RT ....and have you checked the oil level....maybe they f'd that.....you should bring it to another dealer since it's under warranty have them keep it over night and then tell them you want to be there on first start up in the morning...you must stress this and they will agree to it.

    Changed the oil and everything is fine again

    Went to the local dealer here and they Re changed my oil and also did the Two Re-calls, ground cables and battery and ESP Re-set and also the upgrade on the MY GIG Radio with upgraded DVD GPS settings. Car runs good now. No more puff of smoke and no more ticking on Start Up.... Any of you guys out there that have the MY GIG and NAV system in a Challenger better go and get the Ground CABLE/BATTERY Replace and re-set the ESP..and the Upgrade on the Radio done................ good luck guys.

    Those are RRT's you writing about, so if someone goes to your dealer for this tell them there are RRT'S (RAPID RESPONSE TRANSMITTALS) out for these problems. There have only been 3 (recalls) and there are now 12 (RRT's) since the Challenger came out 08.

    I had the battery/cable RRT done...what's the deal with the ESP?

    They just recalibrate the ESP and express down on the windows as part of this RRT.
