Dumb question

Have Challenger srt8 and it stays at a freinds garage because i dont get to drive it much and no room for it in my garage so i have yet to figure out how to get the dvd player to work when the car is moving. will it work that way? i looked in the manual but cant find anywhere where it tells. thanks Ed
