    Convertible Challenger on the street?????

I'm usually a little late on things... so if it's been seen already... My brother took this picture at the Woodward Dream Cruise just outside of Detroit. I thought it was bad a$$ .. It's the best shot I have so far from him so far.

That's Larry Moran, the owner (well, he and his son Jeff, I think) of CoachBuilders, driving his own personal car! I saw it at the Nationals in Ohio, and it is truly a beautiful car... Anybody considering getting a Challenger made into a convertible need look no further. CoachBuilders (actually now called "Convertible Builders") in High Springs, Florida. Here is there website:

    http://www.coachbuildersltd.com

Great craftsmanship, and great customer support!

    Signed,

    A pleased customer

ps- the Plum Crazy convertible done by Mr. Norm's is my car- the convertible conversion portion was done by CoachBuilders. See my other thread for pictures. You can see that they do the job RIGHT- with rear quarter glass, so it doesn't look absolutely horrid like some of the other jobs I've seen out there...

Are the rear quarter windows functional? I saw your car at the nats and driving around inside but I don't remember. Thanks and beautiful ride

They are functional, in that they do roll up and down, but they are not on a separate switch... they raise/lower automatically with the convertible top. They are not motorized; they move with a pulley system rigged to the convertible top (if I'm not mistaken). It works great.

I spoke with Larry the other day. His silver car is a V6 he told me.

I'm going tonight to look at an 09 R/T Classic 6 speed in B5Blue. If the numbers work out it's off to coachbuilders!

That would be sweet! When I saw how the B5 looked in person, I thought hard about changing my plans... You will have a beautiful, rare color, and you won't even have to have the car repainted!
