    Convert Chally in the future?

Was just reading today and saw that the convertable version of the Camaro was still a go for 2011 or so? So with that beeing back in the works, anyone wonder if the Chally will be back as a vert option?

It doesn't seem feasible. Coachbuilders and Mr Norm is banking it won't come
out. IMO they look better as a solid coupe.
Shiny paint, big wheels, powerful engine.

I doubt it, Chrysler and company have a bit too much on the plate as it is

I don't think Chrysler will go for the tooling costs. GM may have already built the camaro so it can stand the convert conversion. The concept pics I have seen for the Camaro look good but I'm not holding my breath. I'm likely to be dissapointed again when they decide not to make it.

I'm going for the challenger vert this winter form coachbuilders.

lol well if they do, and since Mopar arleady started to develop the tooling and made a few cars, i just wonder if they put it on the "back burner" instead of canceling it.

The cost of building a convertible are high but to get the car approved by the goverment is the bigger issue as chrysler did not have a car this size and weight they would have to actually build them so they could be tested and destroyed, then go back and make changes. I don't see the this administration allowing it or fiat willing to spend the dollars either.

None yet. I found a 2009 R/T Classic in B5Blue a few miles away. So I'm off tonight to see and test drive. I might have one in my driveway soon!

I spoke with Larry Moran at Coachbuilders yesterday and they are a bit slow right now with the conversions so If I get the car to him soon, I could have it in a month!!!!

    Challenger convert

Take a look at Mopar Action mag that is out on the newstands right now. They have a nice write up on the Mr, Nroms convert. Also you may want to see if they will be at the Monster Mopar show in St Louis the weekend of 9/25. They had 2 of them at the Mopar nats in Columbus OH last month. Look cool but not for me. Call Mike at Mr Norms and see if they will have one there if you are around that area..might be worth the drive to see one live before making a $25K investment.
