Looking closer at yours Trojan, it looks like D1 status... only a few weeks from delivery hopefully!
Mine went into D-1 status on June 10th, and is still D-1 status 8 days later. Suppose to be shipped on June 23rd. What is wrong with this picture? If still in D-1 status, then nothing is being done; so there is no way of shipping it on June 23rd. Or maybe the tracking system isn'tworking.![]()
I'm hoping to see this by months end, Ive arranged to have the car shipped to my home
to avoid having to put 2500 miles on her before shes home. I think alot of folks got the same D1 status upgrade around June 10-11th. And theres been no updates since.
Remember guys someone has to input each vin status and Im sure there changing daily.
It would take a team of data input folks to keep us completely up to date on a daily basis.
My guess it it takes days to input all the vins status's and and I just don't think its a huge priority or theres the man power dedicated to it.
OTOH Ive heard the SRT Jeep plant can produce 6900 jeeps in a day. So Im thinking a tooled up assembly line for 6400 Challengers cant possible take more then a few weeks tops. I think they'll all be done very shortly. Lets hope. I ve got several deals in the works if I can my Chally to some specific company's before they get another one.
Also we've seen alot of them on trucks and in the lot at the plant Id bet more then half are built and waiting on stripes and delivery's. Ive only heard of a handful of actual delivery's so far but my guess is there alot more out there we just ain't heard about.
GasGunR:
Please return Trojans Challenger now.
You've had your fun, let the poor man take his Chally home will ya?
Plus, I keep telling you, just like Ferris Buelers Day Off, you can't roll back the miles by running it in reverse on blocks!!!
Yeah Matt,
I new something was up, its ok GasGunR have your fun after all you did hook me up.
I only ask that you return it washed with a full tank of fuel please.
This morning, I learned that the status of our Challenger went to E status on June 21st. Maybe it will arrive in about 10 days or 2 weeks. The tentative shipping date is today.
FYI -
It seems that Challengers are arriving 2 days ahead of the "Transport" schedule your dealer can pull up... just FYI.
This means that once you see your Challenger go to the Transport stage, call your dealer and ask what the date is on the KZL status tracking report.
Trojan, first of all, congrats on your new Challenger, you'll love it.
At the plant we are working extremely hard on these cars and as it was a "rolling" launch (meaning it was implemented during regular production of another model) it takes a bit longer to get up to full speed. The scrutiny that our quality departments are using should ensure you'll get the finest car possible.
The wait will be well worth it.
6900 Jeep SRT's a day?? Naw I really doubt that number, we produce FAR fewer LX's and LC's than that. (I can't say how many, Chrysler does monitor these boards and I do like my job, but I'm sure some-one will chime in with the actual build). I'd guess about 1500 Jeeps/day/3 shifts, but the SRT's, a lot less.
Congrats Chris
