YES....I had better go get my appointment made for the optomitrist and a hearing test.....maybe there was a chemical leak from the Anniston Army Depot that caused me to hallucinate the whole thing! Or yeah...the guy lied and he is a early 30's guy who is a HIGH EXEC in Chryslter corp or Engineer who just happened to be out in the middle of ALABAMA with a LOCAL dealer drive out tag on it....even though he came from Michigan.....Riiiiiiggghhht. Gotcha.

Jeez this is ridiculous.....I guess some people will doubt anything if you don't physically take them there personally and shove their face in something.

    Wink

Nice pic. I'm betting the sighting has soooommmething to do with that big roundy-round race just east of Birmingham this weekend in Talladega.

Do I know what I personally saw? YES

Had I known that there would be a bunch of childish banter over taking a picture of a car I saw at a friggin gas station here then I wouldn't have bothered posting it. I saw the car, thought it was a cool sighting and took a couple of pictures and breifly spoke to the guy.....period. Get over yourself already.

He was already talking to some other guys about the car which is why the hood was up. Just basically said "nice car, hadn't seen one out yet" and he said "Thanks, I just got it". That was about it....never got out of the car as we were already late.

I have never followed anything with these cars other than hearing they were taking orders back in December. Had I known more I probably would have let the wife get upset for being late and gotten more info but I didn't think it was that big of a deal at the time.

Guys, there are high level folks all over the country, I imagine. Heres what the "no delivered yet" folks are saying.

    1. There are 100 fast feedback cars that have been delivered. I assume such delieries would have to done through a local delaer, this would also help check the PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) checklists for completleness, possible misunderstandings. the Calibers, foe instance, had an issue with delaerships not removing spacers from the struts.

    2. No reason this could not have been one of those executives/son of executive.

    3. The guy with the Crossfire did mention "pulling some strings", and never did say what he paid, or any other mention of buying the car, did he?

So, nobody is saying that you didnt see the car, just that you could be wrong in thinking that its the first (or one of the first) customer delivery.

I never claimed it was "the first" car delivered....I can tell you by the looks of the guy that he is not an Executive as he is not old enough. Other than that who knows....but his implication with his response was that he bought it and just got it with his response so if that's not the case he was lying or misrepresenting himself. Had someone informed me that this was a matter of National Security and that I needed to act like the Spanish Inquisition, I would have gotten his phone number and more information. All I did was post that I saw one with a picture and relayed my experience and while most reponses have been good, I get a newbie who is a "supposed" worker in the know who claims to know it all. When I made the post and shared the pictures I had NO idea that nobody had seen one on the road yet and Frankly I didn't care....I knew that if out it had not been long and I thought it was a cool sighting as I like the car.

here is my challenge as this will be FAR easier since I didn't know that I needed to get this guys personal information.....If Mr. BAP_Worker knows SO MUCH then he should have no problem tracking down through his sources who has "THE" car in Alabama I took a picture of....consider it a call out if you will but it's time to either put up or shut up....the car was here and it was photographed....IF there are ONLY 100 cars out there for evaluation then it should be no problem to verify with proof that it is NOT customer owned since he knows it all and has ALL the knowledge. Regardless I don't care....I have no time for this nonsense.

That's some funny **** right there!!.

Ya know what bud, sometimes (like you can't already tell) ya just can't win around here.

Not so long ago in a far off distant galaxy, we had a discussion about aftermarket spark plugs.

When it got broken down to the molecular structure, is when I bailed. Mind you, this was from guys that never ever even turned a wrench on thier car nor ever raced it.
From wild to extra wild we got you covered with crap ya never knew you needed.

The first 6.1 transformation and it all went down hill from there.

Well the Spanish Inquisition reference comes from me being a Monty Python fan :D

Yes, I can see that.....On the spark plug topic...I'd probably have bailed sooner but I agree that's ridiculous! The way I have tested plugs in the past is by taking a trip to the drag strip for test & tune. I don't care if the plug is made of Compressed & heated Mars dust....if the car performs worse then it is no good.
