    '09 Chally R/T Manual: 0-60 in 5.9 secs??????

Not good numbers for those wanting to buy this car for performance. My best on my '09 Charger R&T was 5.4 secs. That was with slight wheelspin at the start.

lol edmunds is bias as hell. They rated the auto at 5.5 that is ludacris. The auto goes 0-60 in 4.9 and with a guy who nows how to drive these cars it will do 4.7 with the manual. wait for car and driver to come out, they are the best. It is a 6 speed tremec that time is impossible unless you cannot drive a stick.

What's odd is why 2nd gear can't go up to or past 60. My 2nd gear can go to 75-80mph.

The Challenger has a different gear(shorter) that may require an additional shift. Those time look realistic for a 3700 pound car on Goodyear RSA street tires.

    not!

They wish it only weighed 3700 pounds!

And a sub 5 second time 0-60 is a certainty with a decent driver!

I don't think a stock RT can do a sub 5.0 sec 0-60 unless its a factory freak.

My best 0-60 is 4.9. And thats after a gazillion tries on a mildly modded car. I'm hoping for a sub 13 second 1/4 and sub 4.9 0-60 after my next (and last) set of performance mods.

With the VVT Hemi the torque is there, it's all up to the driver. If you're willing to brutalize the clutch and you know how to drive, it's possible.

I think it would be pretty silly if 0-60 times were the deciding factor on buying a car...

Any automatic will give you better times than a stick - it's way better at shifting than you are...
