While the dealers I've dealt with really seem to hate an informed customer, they've generally not bothered me about my mods. I'm guessing your dealer won't bother you either, unless it's clear your modding has affected something.

But for the big mods... eg. the JBA headers... in a strange way I am kinda glad to be out of warranty now

little things like intake and exhaust won't hurt you. headers are questionable. any internal engine work and you're screwed. replacing a stereo could give them reason to be anal about electrical trouble. Bottom line, they have to prove that something you did caused damage for them to not honor a warranty. Fine print under that bottom line.... they have lots of lawyers :-) I'd just take 2 dozen donuts and a box of coffee over to your service dept. and talk to them about what they think is acceptable.

google "magnusson-moss warranty act of 1972"

in a nutshell it states that any mods you do to your car, if something goes wrong, they have to prove the part caused the problem.

else, any products you add voids warranty only on the product replaced

I.E. header in place of stock manifold voids warranty of stock manifold. however it does NOT void engine warranty.

look it up though, theres plenty of tid bits thats useful to anyone who plans to alter anything. something the sport compact crowd is VERY familiar with

Mopar accessories are covered by warranty but ALL Mopar performance parts beginning with the letter "P" are sold "as is" with no warranty whatsoever. Why? Some parts are intended for "off-road use only" and could void the vehicle's factory warranty. This means that if DCX can prove a performance part caused a problem then your warranty claim goes bye-bye. For all the folks out there doing the "safe" mods, this does include your Mopar CAI, Mopar Cat-back Exhuast, Mopar LT Headers, Mopar Coil Over Suspension Kit and Lowering Springs just to name a few. There is actually a disclaimer on the Mopar website that says those first 4 parts are "not legal for sale on pollution-controlled vehicles registered for highway use".

Bottom line is it depends on your relationship with the service department. Are they mod friendly or not? Is the answer is yes, how far will they let you mod before bringing up warranty issue?
