V6'ers NEEDED for LX & Beyond Bracket!

I hope this idea hits HOME for all the V6 owners out there. Because that is EXACTLY what we are going to have in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday; 6-15-08.

Here is more detailed information on the V-6 Bracket Race. There will be Awards for:

1st Place
2nd Place
Both Semi Finalists
Best Reaction in Eliminations
Closet to your Dial In during Eliminations.

If you are able to make it Saturday you will have a whole bunch of friends to cruise up I-71N with you. A lot of guys from that area are planning to make the trip up here again.

Yeah, everybody wants to know who has the fastest LX on the street but I want to see who the best LX driver is on the streets. There are a whole lot of cars in this class and it truly is gonna come down to who is a better driver to win this bracket. I think this will be by far the most interesting class of the day.

Ok so far I see three interested and one isn't even an LX (no offense Shadow) come on guys, I know there have to be more of us with in reasonable range. How can we expect any V6 love when we don't even show for this kind of event!!

Good point. I can be in Cincy pretty early to hopefully hook-up with a convoy going north. Any ideas on where to meet?

Last year we met at the Tricounty mall, I'm not sure about this year or if there will be caravans both days, but if there isn't I'll gladly meet up with you somewhere around here and convoy!

Great Question. The info below also applies to the V6 bracket.

The 6.1 Class will be on a Bracket Format. For example your SRT-8 is 100% stock and it runs 13.00 in the 1/4 miles and let's say there is one there that is running a 426 Stroker and it is running 11.80.

In Time Trials you are trying to see how quick your car will run. Time Trials are all done with both cars leaving the starting line at the same time and the faster car gets to the finish line first. NOW on Bracket Racing the slower car takes off first and then the quicker car takes off last and trys to catch the first one WITHOUT breaking out.

For Example you dial in at 13.00, you take off and 1.20 seconds later the other car takes off, he has to catch you, and beat you to the finish without red lighting, or going quicker than his dial in of 11.80.

So YES you want to race.......I will even be giving a Class and a Demonstration on Saturday Morning. Here is a link from NHRA:

Im here in columbus Im stock except for Kand N will have exhaust by then but id love to run. never have before but it would be a blast.
